I didn't have the network option, but I was playing around with my graphics to try and improve performance, so I deleted the TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS and when I got back in-game to reset my graphics options I saw the Network option appeared. 1. A friend of mine just got No Man’s Sky through Xbox Game Pass for pc. On No Man’s Sky he doesn’t have a network setting in his options menu and therefore we can’t friend each other. The Modems are running NAT and cannot be put into bridged mode, there is no option on either one. The Router is running NAT, part of it's TCP multi-path configuration. All are essential network components. "connecting your PC as close as possible to the modem or router", not an option. #9.

I've been playing with my xbox friends for a bit, even as recently as this morning, but this evening I have been trying to get in their game and every time I try it says "Joining", "Connecting" and then just stops and nothing happens.
The game plays fine without internet connection. You won't have to cheat quicksilver, quicksilver missions can be done solo. Expeditions rewards are purely cosmetic, and you can probably do them without internet connection anyway. You can certainly do them with multiplayer turned off. 1.
